I was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August 2012 and had my TG done in Sept 2012. Later had 92 days of oral chemo and 30 days of radiation. My treatment ended in May 2013 and since then I am NED. I lost around 100 lbs during this whole process and I am still in J-tube. Slowly since the last 2 months or so, I am gaining slight weight.
My name is Sundar Matpadi, aged 46 and I live in Fremont, CA with my lovely wife and 10 year old daughter. My sincere advice to all is to do the screening earlier. Unfortunately the stomach cancer is detected much later during the later stage and early screening will increase the chance to fight and survive this disease. Cancer brought my family together and we are enjoying the life and our relationship even more.
